ABOUT US

Surrey Schools Coalition (SSC) is a unique, innovative, non-partisan, grassroots coalition. SSC is made up of Advocacy for Capital and Education (A.C.E.) Group, former directors Surrey District Parents Advisory Council, the members of the Homebuilders Association of Vancouver (HAVAN), the Urban Development Institute (UDI), and the Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT). SSC formed in late 2015 as a response to the concern the members had with the lack of capital funding and continual overcrowding of schools in Surrey. Our purpose is to work together with our members, parents and community groups and organisations to advocate all levels of government for increased capital funding for new schools in Surrey’s high growth areas.
